Meet Lavinda Paul - Founder & Director

Lavinda has fifteen years of experience in the recruitment and employment industry, which drives her passion for connecting people to quality jobs and delivering positive outcomes for all stakeholders.

 

Upon completion of a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management & Development in the United Kingdom, Lavinda began her recruitment career with British Railways as a Recruitment Officer. After five years in this particular role, Lavinda migrated to Australia with her husband to embark on a new life adventure. 

 

Lavinda ‘hit the ground running’ and began working as a Recruitment Consultant and within four months, she was promoted to Operations Manager for Wyndham Partners Recruitment Consultants in Melbourne. In this role she gained valuable experience within the Australian labour market, business development, marketing and sales. 

 

Lavinda engaged with various employment service providers and sourced suitable candidates for job vacancies. This gave her an opportunity to assist refugees, migrants and vulnerable people with finding suitable employment. Due to this exposure, Lavinda decided to join Ames Australia and worked her way from Recruitment Consultant to Business Development Manager, and finally as an Industry & Client Manager during her 7 year tenure, where she was able to utilise all of her industry experience and skills to help find meaningful and long-term employment solutions for people who need it the most.
